The Regular Bamboo Straw isn’t just a regular straw—it’s also a stylish and eco-friendly alternative to single-use plastic straws.
Bamboos sprout like crazy in tropical climates, which is why they’re the most sustainable source for reusable straws. Bamboos come from the grass family, but unlike the grass in your lawn, these fast-growing plants are so durable that they’re used as building materials in Asian countries. The Regular Straw is made of pure bamboo, so you can use it over and over for sipping your favorite ice-cold drink.
When it’s time to finally throw this straw away, it won’t leave toxic chemicals in the soil like plastic. Because bamboo is compostable, the components of the straw will simply disintegrate into small particles as organic compost.

REGULAR BAMBOO STRAW IS IDEAL FOR
Before using bamboo straws for the first time, disinfect the straws by soaking them in boiling water and vinegar solution (20:1 ratio) for around 5 minutes.
Hand-wash the straws with lukewarm water and soap after every use. Scrub the insides with a straw cleaning brush.
Let the straws dry after every wash.
How It’s Made
1. Source bamboo stalks from sustainable plantations
From these stalks, we only get the parts that we need to make our straws. After getting the stalks, local craftspeople let them dry under the sun, making the bamboo stalks sturdy & safe to use as straws.
2. Turn the stalks into straws
After drying the bamboo stalks, craftspeople cut them down to the straws’ 8-inch length. Then, the cut bamboo stalks are filed and sanded, giving them a naturally smooth finish.
3. Wash and disinfect them
To make them safe for sipping your drinks, the bamboo straws are submerged in boiling water with a dash of vinegar for about an hour.
4. Dry the straws under the sun
The straws are dried under the hot tropical sun for days. Not only can this remove the moisture from the straws but also naturally disinfect them and provide them with that golden sun-kissed appearance.
I am fairly new on my health journey and saw an advertisement for the Coconut bowls. I had to get one! And while I love it and the excellent craftsmanship, I reach for the straws most often. I do not like the stainless steel straws (almost chipped a tooth) or the glass straws (one broke and shattered into small pieces). The straws are absolutely perfect.
