Yes. Our coconut bowls are made from 100% natural, reclaimed coconut shells. Our bamboo straws and wooden utensils are also made of all-natural materials.

Where do Rainforest Bowls products come from?

We source our products from local farmers and artisans in Vietnam.

How are coconut bowls made?

How long before out-of-stock items come back in stock?

If you have your eye on a specific product but it’s out of stock, please email us at to find out when the item will be restocked. You can also pre-order out-of-stock items so we can reserve them for you once they become available!

Is it normal for coconut bowls to look different from each other?

Yes. Our craftspeople follow the natural shape and size of the coconut shells they work with. This means that no two coconut bowls will be exactly the same, and each will have its own unique shape, size, and markings.

How much can a standard coconut bowl hold?

A standard coconut bowl can hold 500 to 600 ml or 16 to 20 oz. But because our coconut bowls vary in size, their capacity also varies from one bowl to another.

Care Instructions

What can I serve in my coconut bowl?

You can serve any of your favorite cold meals in your coconut bowl. However, it’s best to avoid putting extremely hot food in your bowl.

Can I put my coconut bowl in the microwave or fridge?

No. As with all other 100% natural products, coconut bowls should not be exposed to extreme temperatures.

How do I clean my coconut bowl?

After every use, handwash your coconut bowl with soapy lukewarm water to keep it clean. Do not wash it in the dishwasher or with hot tap water. Also, avoid soaking your bowl in water for long periods.

How do I maintain my coconut bowl?

After using your bowl several times, you can rehydrate it and bring back its luster and color by polishing it with coconut oil or flax oil.

For all domestic shipping, we ship via USPS First Class, 2- Day Priority, or UPS Ground, whichever comes out to be a lower rate for your order. We try our best to reduce shipping costs and will happily combine orders. We cannot ship UPS orders to PO boxes.

Delivery Time

Will I receive a tracking number?

Yes. Once shipped, you'll receive a separate email with the tracking number.

I haven’t received my order. How do I check the status?

If you need any updates on the location of your package, please refer to the tracking number that was sent to you. You can also contact the carrier directly.

If your package is lost or missing, you'll need to contact the carrier directly to launch an investigation. We are not responsible for lost, stolen, or missing packages.

It’s a mystery! But rest assured that the products you’re getting are all handcrafted from sustainably sourced natural materials. We’d hate to spoil it for you, but here’s a hint: you're in for an exciting treat!

I have bought a Mystery Box before. Will I receive different products in my next box?

Absolutely! Just note in the “Want to Add a Note to Your Order?” at checkout which items you have already received. That way, we can send you different products every time you buy a Mystery Box.

I do not like to get a specific item in my Mystery Box. What should I do?

You’re welcome to request to exclude certain products! Simply note at checkout which item/s you’d like to exclude, or email us at before or right after you place your order.

Do you accept exchanges/returns of Mystery Boxes?

If you don’t like an item in your box, we can’t refund or replace it with something else as we curate each box ahead of time. An item you don't love could also work as a lovely gift! Or you can join our Swap Group on Facebook to exchange a product you don’t like for another one from our other customers.

Do you charge tax?

We charge New Mexico sales tax to New Mexico residents. Transactions shipped outside of New Mexico are tax-free.

Which payment methods do you accept?

Do you take orders over the phone or through the mail?

All orders must be placed through our website. If you experience any problems, please call us at 805-452-0659, and we’ll resolve the issue ASAP.

How does the charge appear on my credit card statement?

The transaction will appear under our business name Rainforest Bowls.

Refund and Exchange policy

If you're unhappy for any reason and would like to return your order for a refund, you must notify us via email or phone about your return. A sales representative will provide a return mailing address. We do not provide a return label.

We'll also provide a return identification (RI) number, and important instructions on how to re-package the order. All returned orders must be shipped back to our warehouse within 30 days of receiving the order.

Customer is responsible for return shipping and reshipment costs for any exchange orders. We are not responsible for orders returned to sender for any reason. If orders are returned to sender, we can reship the package however there will be a reshipment fee. We ship orders to the address customer inputs at checkout. If this address is incorrect, or unable to be delivered we are not responsible. If customer prefers a refund of the order rather than reshipment there will be a full refund minus original shipping paid and a 15% restock fee.

Once all items, including the freebies, are returned in good condition, you will receive a full refund minus a 15% restock fee and shipping and handling.

Please allow 5-­7 business days from when the item is delivered for your returned order to be processed.
