What are these planters made of?
These planters, as well as the Pedestal Coconut Planter’s base, are crafted from discarded coconut shells. The rope hangers, meanwhile, are made of jute.
Are the planters and jute rope sturdy?
Yes! Coconut shells are more resistant to cracking than clay pots. Jute ropes are also sturdy enough to hold planters—they are even used by many garden enthusiasts to make plant hangers.
How do I hang the coconut planter to the ceiling?
Mark the spot on the ceiling where you want to hang your planter. Remember to place it where your plants can get enough sunlight. Then, drill a hole into that spot and place your hook firmly into that hole. Finally, hang your coconut planter, along with your plant.

Artisan-Made
We at Rainforest Bowls value the rich cultural heritage and traditional techniques of woodworking from cultures around the world. We strive to provide customers with the best natural products by partnering with artisans from developing regions who have honed their skills in the art of woodworking. This approach supports local communities and helps preserve traditional methods of craftsmanship.
Limited Edition Releases
As part of our commitment to delivering refined goods that last a lifetime while minimizing waste and environmental impact, we produce items in small quantities. This approach allows us to give more attention and care to each individual piece. We also continually strive to innovate and keep things fresh. As a result, some styles may be out of stock for some time or even produced in just a single run and never re-produced.
We Cut No Corners
Every Rainforest Bowls product is crafted with attention to detail and rigid processes to ensure consistency. After hand carving, our team performs six rounds of sanding, two rounds of food-grade sealing, before finishing up by polishing with natural oil for protection and a shiny finish effect. Each piece takes a number of hours spread over multiple days to complete.
