Freshly squeezed juice and plastic straws don’t seem to blend well. A drink made from natural ingredients deserves a natural straw, like the Medium Bamboo Straw.
Bamboo straws are in, plastic straws are out--and rightly so. They’re reusable, eco-friendly alternatives to single-use plastic straws, which are known for their harmful impact on the environment. Unlike plastic, bamboos are both biodegradable and compostable. So, when it’s time to throw the bamboo straw away, it’ll just break down into organic compost.
Not only is this bamboo straw environmentally-friendly, but it’ll also look good in photos. You have to admit, bamboo straws are eye-catching and interesting stuff. Take a photo of your smoothie in a Rainforest bowl with this straw--it will definitely seem like you’re on a summer getaway.
With the Medium Bamboo Straw, you can sip your smoothie, frappe, or freshly squeezed orange juice in a fashionable and eco-friendly way.

How It’s Made
1. Source bamboo stalks from sustainable plantations
From these stalks, we only get the parts that we need to make our straws. After getting the stalks, local craftspeople let them dry under the sun, making the bamboo stalks sturdy & safe to use as straws.
2. Turn the stalks into straws
To prepare the coconut for cutting, the local craftspeople use a chisel to remove the fibrous husk. Then, they bore a couple of holes to pour out the coconut juice. Cutting the shell in half.
3. Wash and disinfect them
To make them safe for sipping your drinks, the bamboo straws are submerged in boiling water with a dash of vinegar for about an hour.
4. Dry the straws under the sun
The straws are dried under the hot tropical sun for days. Not only can this remove the moisture from the straws but also naturally disinfect them and provide them with that golden sun-kissed appearance.
